Bruck Girmay brings over 16 years of experience in the aviation industry to his role as Co-Founder and CEO of MaMeLa Healthcare Consultancy. His background spans air traffic control, training, procurement and logistics expertise. His expertise extends across Ethiopia, Rwanda, and East Africa.

Dr. Senait Beyene
Dr.Senait Beyene’s vast experience in providing strategic advice to the Ministry of Health and consulting for advanced healthcare facilities throughout Africa is foundational to MaMeLa’s expertise. She has made substantial contributions to digital health initiatives, supply chain management, public-private partnerships, and healthcare financing, notably leading the establishment of Ethiopia’s first public infertility treatment center.

Dr. Kalkidan Kassaye
Dr. Kalkidan Kassaye brings 6 years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare leadership, and mentorship to her role as Technical Director. A general medical practitioner by training, she previously headed the Maternal and Child Health Department at a government hospital in Addis Ababa.

Bekele Zelleke
Bekele Zelleke is an Authorized Accountant licensed by the Audit and Accounting Board of Ethiopia with over 40 years of experience in finance, accounting, and audit management. He brings extensive expertise in financial governance, compliance, and strategic fiscal leadership. He has served in senior finance roles with prominent international organizations, including The David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Crown Agents, Futures Group Global Outreach, and Marie Stopes International Ethiopia, where he oversaw multi-country operations, financial reporting, and system implementation.

Fetiya Temam is a seasoned finance professional who provides finance advisory, investment analysis, tax consultation, internal control review, and audit services to MaMeLa. She has worked as an audit manager, finance manager, financial consultant, and IFRS Specialist in her previous roles.

Enjori Tadesse
Enjori holds a BSc in Public Health from Haramaya University and an MPH from Debre Markos University. With over 15 years of experience in Ethiopia’s healthcare system, she has worked across public, private, and NGO sectors, specializing in project implementation, health systems strengthening, and infectious disease control. Currently, as Project Coordinator at MaMeLa Consultancy, she is part of the “Healer to Leader” initiative, empowering women healthcare workers to take on leadership roles and drive positive change in their communities.

Dr. Tsion is a medical doctor with a Master’s in Public Health (MPH). She has worked as a physician and lecturer and has actively participated in volunteer initiatives that strengthen teamwork and leadership. Currently, she serves as Project Team Lead for an IHSS-supported program focused on enhancing women’s leadership among healthcare workers in Ethiopia. Driven by a passion for health system improvement, she takes pride in achieving project goals and seeing tangible impact in the communities she serves.

Asnakech is a PhD candidate in Special Needs at Addis Ababa University with over 20 years of experience in the health sector. She holds a Master’s in Adult Lifelong Learning and Community Development, a Bachelor’s in Planning and Management, and a Senior Midwifery qualification. Her work spans HIV/AIDS prevention and care, MNCH, adolescent and youth health, TB/HIV, IPC, and gender-based violence interventions. With extensive experience as an Advisor, Trainer, Mentor, and Program Coordinator, and numerous local and international certifications, Asnakech is dedicated to empowering communities and advancing sustainable public health outcomes.

Tigist Sisay
Tigist holds a bachelor’s degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and a master’s in Public Health and Social Work, with specializations in Maternal and Child Health and Community and Organizational Practice. Her professional background spans medical research, evaluation, and program implementation across both academic and community health settings.
She brings her passion and commitment to equitable healthcare for women and children to MaMeLa, contributing to the organization’s mission of empowering women in the healthcare field and sharing the impact of its work through meaningful data and partnerships.

Dr. Yordanos Mengistu
Dr. Yordanos holds a Medical Degree from Jimma University and a Master’s in Public Health. She began her career as a General Practitioner at Didessa Hospital and later served as Medical Director at Tele Doc Medical Consultancy and Home-Based Health Care. At ALERT Hospital, she advanced through leadership roles, including Quality Officer, Case Team Leader, and Clinical Governance and Quality Director. Joining MaMeLa marked a turning point, broadening her perspective on health sector priorities. Currently seconded to the Ministry of Health’s Strategic Affairs Executive Office, Dr. Yordanos remains deeply committed to strengthening health systems and driving impactful change.

Dr. Halal Sultan is a medical doctor by training with experience spanning clinical practice, training, technical writing, and storytelling. She currently works at the intersection of public health and communication.

Higewongel Ashenafi
Higewongel holds a BSc in Public Health an MPH. She began her career by volunteering at the Lemi Kura Sub-City Health Office in the Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) department, where she supported community health activities and strengthened her experience in surveillance and local health systems.
She also completed a one-year internship with Amref Health Africa under the Integrated Health System Strengthening (iHSS) project. MaMeLa Advisors served as a sub-grantee on the project, and upon completing her internship, she was invited to join the MaMeLa team. She now contributes to advancing resilient and equitable health systems through research, program support, and system-strengthening initiatives.
