We recently had the privilege of celebrating the graduation of the Amhara cohort of the High-Impact Leadership Training for Health.
After six months of focused learning, mentorship, and coaching, all 46 women healthcare professionals completed the program and received their High-Impact Leadership certification. This achievement reflects not only their commitment and hard work, but also the collective effort of everyone who supported the journey.
Beyond skills and knowledge, the most powerful change was personal. Participants openly expressed their gratitude for the support they received during the program, sharing how the training and mentorship helped transform their confidence, leadership presence, and ability to speak, influence, and lead within their institutions.
Over the months, we watched these women step forward as leaders, drive change within their teams, motivate their peers, and approach challenges with clarity and purpose.
Graduation is an important milestone, but it is only the start. Each of these 46 leaders now returns to her workplace better equipped to lead, collaborate, and contribute to lasting improvements across the health system.
Our sincere thanks go to the Federal Ministry of Health Ethiopia and Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia for their partnership and support. We are also grateful to the trainers, mentors, and coaches who guided this process, and to the MaMeLa team for their continued dedication.
Congratulations to all HIL graduates. We look forward to seeing the impact you will create.
